We can’t say we disagree with blogger Shaunya Hartley’s outlook on life: Shop, Eat and Sleep! We met with Shaunya minutes before the kick-off of Fashion’s Night Out at “Store in the Sky” to learn more about her style indulgences.

Shaunya Hartley, Shop, Eat and Sleep
What you are wearing tonight?
I’m wearing a mix of high and low vintage and modern pieces. For me, style is all about mixing things together. If you’re working off a good core wardrobe, you can throw things together effortlessly. I think the best people with style have the most limited resources.
How would you describe your fashion sense?
It’s definitely eclectic. My number one goal is to look great, but looking great doesn’t have to have a price tag on it. For me, it’s about spending time on grooming and working off of the great pieces in your closet. I don’t like to look like everyone else, but I don’t want to look like a fool either, so I try to find a happy medium in by finding a piece that no one else has (which is why I really love vintage) and throwing in a great shoe that pops with strong accessories.
What would you say is your most indulgent piece of clothing in your closet?
Well, I know it’s not politically correct, but I have lots of vintage fur. I have a leopard circa-1960 fur vest that I would die for.
Where do you get your style inspiration?
It’s a combination of things – my mom is really fashionable, a little bit of pop culture and flipping through magazines. I really love retro, so I love to look through my old Vogue and Harper’s Bazzar.
What about fashion brings you pleasure?
I define myself as fashion – it’s my passion, it’s my life. Clothing is a must in our society and for that reason alone; we should make it look great.
Who are some of your favorite fashion bloggers?
Tres Chic Style, The Galmourai, Karla’s Closet, and of course myself: Shop, Eat and Sleep!
Have you tried Magnum ice cream and if so, what’s your favorite flavor?
Definitely Classic. I am a Libra and we love beautiful things all the time, especially something so decadent as chocolate.
